The candidate has experience in business and office management as well as proven skills in sales and marketing.

As the office manager you will be responsible for managing, as well as conducting front-office administrative functions, including client service and communication, direct sales and marketing, basic accounting, vendor relations, and shipping.  You must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly collaborative work environment but also have the autonomy, experience and confidence to work independently.  You have an entrepreneurial spirit, regularly take initiatives and are able to identify and find solutions to problems under stressful situations.  While the role will include hands-on administrative tasks, the position is a pre-cursor to a potential business management position as the company continues to expand.

Your primary responsibilities include:

  • Assist the CEO in all retail and wholesale relationships and deliver all levels of customer service
  • Assist in setting marketing strategy and expanding sales channels.
  • Work with management to establish and implement BEL KAZAN’s ongoing marketing objectives.
  • Maintain and expand BEL KAZAN’s social media initiatives, including updating the e-commerce website, creating written web content, taking photos for social media channels
  • Be able to travel for trade shows and help with sales
  • Managing front office operations, including performing traditional administrative functions as well as:
    • Handling all domestic and international shipping and logistics for outgoing orders.
    • Maintaining a detailed record of clients, projects, and orders.
    • Provide timely answers related to pricing, order status, product availability and general product details.
    • Process receivable and payables; issue invoices and place purchase orders.
    • Assist in styling & organizing during photo shoots, fashion events etc.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Ideal candidate must come with good references, display excellent spoken and written business communication skills and have extraordinary organizational skills.
  • Prior experience in office administration and customer service is a must.
  • Ideal candidate should have a minimum of 1-2 years working within the fashion design industry or related consumer products industry.
  • Can demonstrate a strong understanding of business and marketing fundamentals.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office products, including Excel (with basic formulas). Mac
  • Strong research skills
  • Design language proficiency as well as experience using Photoshop and Illustrator is an advantage.
  • College degree or relevant post-High School certification required.
